Service Story

In this section, I would like to cover my views about certain people who have been extremely influential in my life.

I am reminded about the memoir which my late father wrote – named “My I.A.S Days”. In that book, he had to write about events and colleagues in his life as a bureaucrat.

He had prefaced the book by mentioning that, as a lawyer, he was trained to go with “the whole truth and nothing but the truth”.

However, he did not feel that it was fair on him to write the whole truth about people that he knew. He would write nothing but the truth, but the whole truth may be embarrassing to everyone concerned. Public disclosure is sometimes of limited value.

I shall endeavour to follow that canon in this section.
